Selection Matters are delighted to be working with Banbury based client, who have a fantastic opportunity for a copy/content writer to join the merchandising team based in Banbury.

Your job will be to create, maintain and optimise the product offering on our clients UK websites and catalogues in order to drive sales and provide a better customer experience.

o Working closely with the Product Management team to create, maintain and optimise product content (e.g. sales copy, product attributes, images) for UK websites and catalogues (multiple brands)
o To ensure all products are well structured and easy to purchase for customers across UK websites and catalogues
o To use data quality reports to ensure the most accurate product information on websites and catalogues and maintain an up-to-date product offering
o Manage the data of products using the PCM tool ‘Step’ and liaise with other users across Europe to ensure correct data consistency and quality
o Work closely with the Design team to create new catalogues and other promotional material to strict deadlines
o Cooperate with the Marcoms and eCommerce teams for promotional activity and in the creation of enriched web content; including web landing pages and blog content
o Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to ensure the best possible SEO of products and categories online

o Has experience in data management and able to maintain accurate information and attributes for a high number of products
o The ability to write good, clear copy in a variety of styles with accurate spelling and grammar as well as editing/proofing skills for both online and offline media
o Good knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and web content management (knowledge of HTML preferred but not essential)
o Demonstrates professionalism at all times as well as enthusiasm, initiative and willingness to learn
o Is both target and deadline driven
o Demonstrates a high level of personal organisation skills with the ability to prioritise own workload, while maintaining focus on key objectives
o Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels, both orally and written
o Can adopt a flexible approach to changing priorities
o Strong understanding and use of Microsoft Office tools

This position is Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm, with some flexibility on hours.
